Russell found his calling as a massage therapist through and unusual situation: while he was in college, he developed an infection in his eyes that led to cataracts. Faced with the probability of losing his sight, he had to turn his focus to a new way of being a productive member of society that would not rely on vision. He's always enjoyed helping people and finding ways to ease the stress in their lives. That is where massage came into play: he could help relieve their pain and tension and he didn't need his sight to do so, just his hands. He attended B.T.I., Body Therapy Institute, here in North Carolina, and focused on Swedish/Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Hot Stone, Integrated Reflexology, and Thai Massage. He has always been happy with what he does and has been continuously inspired to learn more in order to help as many people as possible. His goal is to work with each person, to understand their individual needs and to come up with a plan so that they will be able to feel the most benefit possible.
